Unbelievable Gray Puppy!

all photos by author

The Caucasian pups are 3 weeks old and have begun to change color and develop their signature masks. Each mask is different, like a finger print.

As this puppy sheds baby fur, he is turning gray. It’s very exciting!

We have only one such adult dog — his name is Samson and he is gray with hazel eyes. These rare dogs are called “blue boys” and sometimes retain their baby blue eyes as well.

Samson was the poster boy for our Save the Caucasians campaign last year after these dogs were discovered mistreated at a puppy mill out west.

My husband, known as “The dog whisperer”, was interviewed by their local newspapers regarding these Ovcharkas.

We put donation canisters with Samson’s photo all over town when the news broke about the puppy mill.

We do not run a puppy mill. After the age of three, each female is bred no more than three times over four years before she goes into retirement at our farm to live out her days. Our very first dam, Sheba, is ten years old and doing fine.

Natasha, the mother of these pups will go into retirement as soon as she weans this loud bunch!

The gray pup is unspoken for. Let us know if you’d like to add him to your family. You can email Tim or respond to this post.
